Media Downloader Architecture, Stream Protocols & Scope
Technical documentation detailing permitted client-side media extraction protocols, HTTP Range chunking mechanics, and strict legal copyright boundaries enforced at the browser engine level.
ToolAcre strictly enforces content legitimacy through deterministic protocol inspectors. The browser runtime directly denies requests targeting encrypted payloads or private session tokens.
Permitted Stream Ingestion
Stateless Client Assembly SupportedDirect media anchors broadcasting standard MIME headers with public availability and range-request support.
Index playlist manifests referencing plain transport stream (.ts) or fragmented MP4 (.m4s) segment files without key encryption wrappers.
Dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP audio/video tracks where segments are publicly indexable without ContentProtection keys.
Direct media enclosures published in open XML syndication feeds for episodic audio and video broadcasting.
Prohibited & Engine Blocked
Automated Rejection & Null Byte DropsAny stream requiring CDM (Content Decryption Module) handshakes, PlayReady manifests, or hardware-enforced decrypt keys is strictly rejected.
Premium media vaults requiring active authentication credentials, OAuth tokens, or paywall bypass mechanisms will fail parsing.
ToolAcre prohibits passing private authenticated browser cookies or user bearer tokens to fetch locked personal media.
Proprietary RPC signatures and hidden internal endpoints not documented in standard IETF or W3C specifications are unsupported.
Stream Processing Engine Architecture
Unlike legacy cloud downloaders that route gigabytes of user traffic across remote server clusters, ToolAcre compiles an isolated extraction pipeline that runs natively inside the client's WebWorker sandbox.
Target address received via client DOM. Checked against protocol whitelist & MIME signatures.
Executes CORS-validated `HEAD` probe to examine `Content-Length`, `Accept-Ranges`, and segment topology.
WASM-compiled demuxers parse raw container frames (AAC/Opus audio & H.264/AV1 visual tracks).
Parallel chunk responses are stitched into sequential ArrayBuffers inside browser volatile heap memory.
Stream emitted straight to the user's local filesystem via FileSystemWritableFileStream or temporary object URI.
By running completely within browser runtime sandboxes, ToolAcre eliminates intermediate server caches, ensuring your source URLs, media payloads, and network credentials never traverse remote disks or third-party loggers.
Streams broadcasting Accept-Ranges: bytes headers are partitioned into dynamic 4MB payloads executed through four concurrent Web Workers. Each fragment undergoes immediate CRC validation prior to assembly.
Because assembly takes place in V8's volatile heap, standard browser tabs restrict single Blob objects to 2GB. For media beyond this threshold, ToolAcre shifts automatically to the Native FileSystemWritableFileStream API to stream directly onto storage.
Foreign hosts that do not emit Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * cannot be fetched directly via client-side fetch. Users must employ self-hosted local CORS proxies or leverage the companion ToolAcre CLI daemon.
No metadata, source URL strings, media hashes, or browser fingerprints are recorded, proxied, or saved in any remote storage infrastructure.
