Zero-Tracking Cookie Policy & Client-Side Storage Transparency
ToolAcre does not use third-party tracking cookies, behavioral ad pixels, or surveillance beacons. Understand exactly what bytes are committed to your local browser environment.
Instant inspection of your active document.cookie and Window.localStorage sandbox
ToolAcre does not generate operational server session cookies.
Meta, TikTok, and cross-site telemetry beacons are blocked and absent.
Confined strictly to `toolacre_theme` and `toolacre_locale` preference toggles.
Temporary worker chunks for PDF/WASM parsers. Auto-clears on tab exit.

All text transformations, hashing, JSON validations, and image crops occur purely within V8 / SpiderMonkey execution threads.
1. Essential Functional Cookies
ToolAcre does not maintain user accounts, require authentication cookies, or deposit tracking session identifiers. Because every utility operates locally within your client sandbox, the core application state is entirely stateless from the perspective of our origin servers.
The only cookie that may ever be populated originates from our edge infrastructure security layer (Cloudflare Edge CDN) to protect our static asset pipelines from distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) automation attacks:
| COOKIE NAME | PROVIDER | PURPOSE | EXPIRATION |
|---|---|---|---|
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare | Automated bot mitigation and DDoS filtering. Does not track individual identities. | 30 Minutes |
2. Client-Side LocalStorage Usage
We leverage browser window.localStorage solely to preserve non-sensitive layout preferences between page reloads. LocalStorage entries reside in your browser profile and are never transmitted over network protocols.
Stores your visual interface mode (`light`, `dark`, or `system`). Prevents UI flashing during document initialization.
Remembers your selected formatting region and number localization preferences (e.g. `en-US`, `de-DE`).
If enabled in your settings, this keeps an array of the last 5 utilities you launched to populate the Command Menu (⌘K). You can wipe this at any time using the auditor button above.
3. IndexedDB & In-Memory Typed Arrays
When processing massive data workloads—such as a 400MB SQL dump, an 80-page PDF document, or multi-gigapixel image compression—browser DOM threads can freeze. ToolAcre transfers data buffers into ephemeral Web Workers using ArrayBuffer structures and temporary IndexedDB caching layers.
Input files read as Uint8Array bytes directly in local machine RAM.
Processed via Rust/C++ WASM modules with zero egress network sockets.
Immediate garbage collection on completion or tab closure.
4. Google AdSense & Compliant Advertising
To keep ToolAcre completely free and open for software engineers, we display minimalist, contextual advertising provided by Google AdSense. We configure our integration under strict compliance standards:
